This week we're channeling tropical vibes, with a plant-based Piña Colada sundae! Available for not one, not two, but THREE days, in three different locations - we'll be spreading the tropical plant-based love all over the lower mainland. We're excited to be serving up a plant-based sundae that we feel is indistinguishable from our usual dairy-filled offerings. It's been a challenge to develop recipes that reflect the creamy qualities of traditional ice creams with no animal products, but we think we've nailed it!
First up, on Thursday August 10 from 4 - 6pm, we'll be scooping with our friends at the Juice Truck at their West 5th Ave juice bar. We've loved the Juice Truck since day 1, and have collaborated on a number of projects together - most recently getting them setup with freshly made, plant-based soft serve recipes for the Yaletown location. We're excited to introduce our first entirely plant-based sundae in their shop!
On Saturday August 12 from 1 - 5pm, we'll be hosting a plant-based social at our shop on Industrial Ave. There will be some painting work being done in our parking lot, but don't despair, as there's lots of street parking available in the neighbourhood and we'll be open all day from 10am - 5pm!
Finally, we're stoked about our first brewery collaboration this summer, working with Four Winds Brewing Co. in Delta, and pairing their Vélo pale ale with our plant-based tropical sundae. We'll be scooping in their tasting room from 12 - 5pm on Sunday August 13, and are looking forward to sharing some #beta5icecreamsocial love with our friends in Delta!
