We're Moving!

we're moving our storefront!
two doors down.
back to our original shop.

but first, we need to spruce it up.

so, we'll be closed for in-person shopping from Tues, June 23 – July 1st.
but, thanks to the magic of the internet, you can still shop online and we will fulfill your orders with:

✔️ curbside pick-up

while our old, soon-to-be refreshed chocolate shop isn't quite ready for in-person shopping, it will be on July 2nd when we open our doors!

why are we moving?
solid question.

let's head back to the future in our
DeLorean time machine to take a look.

we sell chocolates here.

but, there's no window into our chocolate kitchen.
there's no air conditioning.

and, it's a little too big for our liking.
it made sense as a cream puff cafe.
but we don't sell cream puffs anymore.

when our lease expires at the end of june, we're giving up this unit and moving our display cases back to our OG chocolate shop — two doors down, at our production facility.

we held an epic cream puff goodbye party for 10 weeks in the fall of 2024.

there was a lot of cream puff love in our city.
plus a few angry fans (who we still hear from).

we needed to simplify.
we chose chocolate.
afterall, it's in our name.
and, it's why we started this whole thing in the first place.

(though every day, we still have customers coming by looking for cream puffs)

cream puff crowds were large.
cafe seats were full.

chocolate sales were climbing.

and then, life interfered with art.
change became the next chapter.

late covid.

look at those plexiglass barriers.

we were serving up treats, in a social distancing kind of way.

no seating.
no cafe vibes.

but lots of sweet customers, hungry for small indulgences and social connection.

covid.
the era of pre-orders.

our webstore served us well, as we asked customers to order online.

and did they ever.

with a large team of chocolatiers, pastry cooks, and cafe staff, we opened our new cafe — serving cream puffs, laminated pastries, coffee and of course, chocolate.

it got real busy, real quick.

for 4 months...

we took over the unit next to our production facility.

we decided to turn it into a cream puff cafe so our customers could enjoy their treats indoors.

once it opened, we closed our OG shop — you know, the one with the window into our chocolate kitchen.

yes, there was a time before the cafe.
what was that like, you ask?

but, on Sunday night, we dropped Part 2 of this script.

it's kind of like in the '80s, when mid-way through watching a long movie at home, you had to actually get up and put in a second VHS tape into your VCR.
and, it was super annoying.
