this is a project that we've been working on since late march, when we were all trying to adjust and adapt to lockdowns, restrictions, social distancing and everything else that comes with living through a pandemic... it's taken a while to get all the pieces together, but we're excited to announce that starting tonight (sunday november 1) you can now have your #BETA5 treats DELIVERED across the lower mainland!!⁠

from coquitlam to richmond; downtown to the west side; and the north shore to white rock, we're coming for you vancouver! we'll be delivering to a different region every day from wednesday - sunday, just place an order of $35 or more (before taxes) and you'll see a local delivery option appear when you go to check out. to celebrate the launch of this new service, we're offering an introductory rate of $5 / address and FREE delivery for orders of $75 or more...⁠

here are all the details you need know...

first, the delivery zones, and days of the week that we'll be delivering to each zone (EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 25, 2020 WE HAVE UPDATED OUR DELIVERY ZONES)

then, the checkout experience
once your cart meets the minimum $35 order value for delivery, a 'local delivery' option will appear. click on this icon, and you'll be prompted to enter your postal code. after confirming your postal code, the system will determine your eligibility for delivery, and (if you're eligible) the calendar that appears will display the next available delivery date for your area. at the moment, we are only taking pre-orders for a maximum of 7 days in advance, so you will most likely see only one available option for delivery date.
Orders placed for delivery to addresses that are not within the described delivery zones will be cancelled without notice.
please make sure to include a cell phone number for the recipient for all local delivery orders, as this will be the most efficient way for us to notify or contact you on the delivery day.
order cut-off time
similar to our cut-off for pickup orders, all orders for local delivery must be placed before 11.59pm on the day prior to the requested delivery date. at this time we are not able to accommodate same day delivery requests.
after your order is placed
you'll receive an order confirmation email that summarizes what to expect next. we will be delivering all orders between 10am - 6pm, and once your order is packed and our van is loaded up for the day you'll receive a text message notifying you of the estimated time of delivery for your order. you'll receive another notification once we're nearby and within 30 minutes of arrival. if you're expecting a delivery, please look out for these notifications!
the delivery
upon arrival, we'll be completing a contactless order delivery, leaving your order on your front porch, reception desk, or front door to your building. we will contact you upon arrival, but if you live in a condo or apartment building we ask that you please do your best to meet us at the front door to facilitate a quick and easy pickup. our goal is to ensure a smooth and easy delivery, and we appreciate your help in working together to facilitate this.
after your delivery
after your package has been delivered, you'll receive another text message confirming the delivery along with a picture of where we left your package if it's by your front door (or a picture of the person we left your package with, in place of collecting signatures).
the fine print
we will do everything in our power to communicate with you, or the order recipient on the day of delivery to ensure that we can complete the delivery as planned. in the event that we are unable to contact you, we will return to our shop with your order. these attempts at communication will all be documented for our records. the customer is responsible for ensuring that the phone number provided with an order is correct.
if there is a missed delivery, and you have purchased cream puffs as part of your order, or paid a delivery fee, we will be unable to refund either of these charges. if there are any chocolate items in your order, we will hold them for you at our shop. we are happy to reschedule delivery for the following week, but this delivery will be subject to the current delivery fee, regardless of the size of your order. if we don't hear from you within 7 days of a missed delivery, we will consider the order to be forfeited, we will return the product to our inventory and you will be ineligible for a refund.
if your order is being delivered as a gift, please confirm that the recipient will be at the delivery address on the day of delivery.
